The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of economic growth on household out-of-pocket spending using a dynamic computable general equilibrium model. The present study is an applied research in terms of its purpose, and it is a descriptive and analytical research in terms of its process. The data collection method is library research, and the data collection tool is databases. Data were collected from the Central Bank, the World Health Organization, and the Statistical Center of Iran for the years 1390 to 1400 for high-income provinces. The dynamic computable general equilibrium model and Diner software were used to analyze the data. The findings showed that economic growth increases household out-of-pocket spending on health and medical expenses, so economic growth affects the consumption of health services and their tariffs in high-income provinces.Therefore, economic growth may be accompanied by an increase in the prices of essential goods and services, which leads to an increase in household out-of-pocket expenditure, even despite an increase in nominal income. In contrast, sustainable and inclusive economic growth, accompanied by improved efficiency in the provision of public services and curb of inflation, can help reduce or control these costs.
